We’re at Copenhagen Fashion Week 2012 – first stop By Malene Birger fashion show

The runway at tonight’s show

We’ve returned to Copenhagen Fashion Week to mark the start of our AW12 buying calendar. Claire and I are always inspired by our trips to Denmark, with its own unique style, so we are excited to imagine what we might see at the trade shows tomorrow. This is the first chance to see all the AW12 collections in one go and see which trends are coming through for the season so its a very exciting time for us.

No sooner had we checked in to our hotel this afternoon than we were getting glammed up and hopping in a cab to take us to Tap 2 – the old Carlsberg brewery for the By Malene Birger fashion show. It is the most eagerly awaited show of CFW so we were excited to have a ticket. The show was an amazing spectacle as the models showcased the By Malene Birger collection with hints of shimmer and sequin, bright blues and greens, long skirts with thigh-high slits and some really gorgeous dresses. Claire and I are really excited by what we have seen tonight and can’t wait to select the best pieces for our store. AW12 is going to be beautiful!
