Buying adventure to London- day 1!

Last Wednesday owner Claire and myself (manager, Emma) went down to London to seek out the best pieces of By Malene Birger, Custommade for SS14 and American Vintage for AW13. Believe us when I say we had a challenge on our hands. There are always too many beautiful things to choose from and trying to select the best of the best is always a hard task, but someone’s got to do it!

First up, Custommade. This amazing brand has always been one of my faves. I love the beautiful fabrics and colour palettes they use. The simple designs with a touch of the unexpected, are always so easy to wear. I want it all!

Appointment number two was with one of our favourite brand agents, John, for American Vintage. Giggling is a necessity during his appointment. American Vintage never ceases to amaze us and this AW13 season is no exception. They’ve come up with a gorgeous collection using soft wool fabrics and rich colours. We have chosen some amazing knits and jackets that will look fabulous with your AW13 AG and 7 For All Mankind jeans this coming season. It won’t be long before it lands on our doorstep…Untitled-3

Last but by no means least we viewed By Malene Birger’s stunning collection. The collection is inspired by countries all over the world, hence it’s name ‘Ladies of the World.’ There were prints and colour galore. Her tailoring is as you would expect, superb and the fabrics are divine. I’ve already put my name down for a few things!

I wouldn’t want to wish a year away, but I can’t wait for the SS14 to come. Our first appointments for the season have been fantastic, and Claire and myself know you’re going to love the collections too. Follow us on instagram, @stripesfashionworcester, ┬áto follow us as we’re buying. Failing that, we will be posting another photo diary soon.

Have a lovely day!

Love Em x
